While you are at Isabella Freedman you will enjoy the simplicity, comfort and charm of our country lodging. We can accommodate up to 180 guests in a choice of room types. Each of our eleven lodges has its own unique character, and are fully air-conditioned and winterized for use at any time of year. Some buildings have rooms with private bathrooms; others with shared bathrooms for two or three rooms. Handicap-accessible rooms are also available upon request.

If you are camping, you must bring your own tent and camping gear. Showers and bathrooms in the pool house will be available for your use.

If you would like to stay nearby, or if you live in the area, you can book at our commuter rate, which covers meals and full access to all the center's amenities during your program.

Financial Aid

Elat Chayyim provides limited scholarship funding of up to 40% of retreat room and board fees for those in extreme financial need. Financial aid is only available for triple rooms with hall baths for individuals, and double rooms with hall baths for couples. If you would like to request financial aid, please complete the financial aid form. Please note, Elat Chayyim also has payment plans of up to four months, which are available through our online registration system. Please note financial aid requests must be received at least three weeks prior to the retreat.

For Graduate Students

In addition, up to 50% scholarships on room and board are available for graduate students in rabbinical school, cantorial school or in Masters degree programs in Jewish Studies. Funding has been provided by the Lasko Family Foundation. To apply for this scholarship, please complete this scholarship form.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund (minus a $75 processing fee) for cancellations more than 30 days prior to retreat.

If you cancel between 30 days and 1 day in advance, a non-refundable credit (less a $75 processing fee) will be held for one year from the date of issue. This credit is non-transferable.

No credit or refund is available if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or on the workshop’s arrival day, if you do not show up, or if you leave a retreat early for any reason.

The Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In this event, you will be given a complete refund.

For transportation: A full refund is available if you cancel at least three days (72 hours) in advance. No refund is available if less than three days notice is given.
